Sing for your Health makes me feel good; it lifts my spirits. It also helps me so that I speak louder when I leave than when I came in.

Sing for Joy! Sing from your Soul! Sing for your Health!

Most musicians know instinctively that something amazing happens when we sing and create music. We feel alive and more connected to one another. We feel happier! Now science is finally catching up and the research supports what we’ve known in our hearts to be true.  SINGING IS GOOD FOR YOU!  Research shows that singing can:

  • Improve Sleep
  • Improve movement and coordination
  • Improve memory
  • Help relieve pain
  • Boost Immune System
  • Lower Stress and Anxiety
  • Reduce Depression and feelings of loneliness
  • Regulate Blood Pressure
  • Improve lung capacity
  • Improve speech and communication
  • Increase creativity
SFYH is a terrific program. We learned several breathing exercises which I do at home. Tom and I enjoy the people and the singing. We look forward to it every month.

Parkinson’s and the Voice: Enhance Your Health and Your Life!

A FREE 2-hour workshop designed for the Parkinson’s patient, doctors, nurses, caregivers and leaders in the Parkinson’s community

Inspired by a former professional in the music business who has been battling the symptoms of PD, we have adapted everything from the technique of healthy vocal production, breath work, annunciation, tonal placement etc. to Sound Healing exercises in order to address the symptoms of the disease.  We give the vocal chords, lips, tongue, mouth and diaphragm a physical workout and we have fun singing!
